Going West: Young Men

Tomorrow morning my friend Brad and I are packing up the car and heading out on the road. The plan is to meet up with Route 66 in Amarillo and then head west. All we know so far is that somewhere in the middle of this journey we have a reservation at the Hard Rock in Vegas. Beyond that, we’ll just be practing tumbleweed travel: We’ll roll wherever the wind takes us.

If you have any recommendations, or if you’ve traveled the “Mother Road” before, we’d love to hear from you. Like I said, we’re flying by the seat of our pants, so any ideas of neat places to see (or locales to avoid) would be appreciated.
